Welcome to 2012, everyone! So, after a month of settling in and getting some early-season ski bugs out of the system, we have started construction on the new shop. The pictures in this post are all pre-remodeling (fairly obvious, I suppose). I'll be posting more photos as progress continues.
It looks pretty rough in these photos, but the space is pretty large, well insulated, and perfectly mated to our guide shop operation.
The first step is to frame in the walls so that we can wire the shop and hang the drywall and trim. We also have some plumbing to replace and reroute before we can put up any wall cladding. I'll add some images of the floorplan design in a later post. You can see that we definitely have our work cut out for us, but this is a very exciting step for Exit Glacier Guides in Seward.
